Director
Irtaza Shahbaz, born in 2005, is a Pakistani writer and director with two short films to his name. He began his filmmaking journey as a cinematographer and colorist on two university films before stepping behind the camera as a writer and director. His latest short film, Check, marks his first major project as a filmmaker, exploring themes of obsession, sacrifice, and the price of ambition. Through his work, Irtaza is drawn to stories that examine human nature and the choices people make when their ambitions begin to consume them.
