Director
Robbe Van der Vloet has always been drawn to stories that linger beneath the surface. After studying Journalism at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Mechelen, he set out to turn his dream of becoming a documentary filmmaker into reality. His first steps were taken at Redhorse, where he joined the making of a film about the Nieuw Gent neighbourhood. In 2023, his own documentary Mondai: Jōhatsu found its way to the screen on Canvas in Vranckx en de Nomaden. Today, alongside his independent work, Robbe brings his eye for storytelling to Opera Spanga in the Netherlands, where he helps shape educational audiovisual projects.
